While we try to transfer your tapes within 7 working days, there are some occasions where we may take longer. We will always notify you if this happens.
Our 7 days target takes place from the moment we receive your tapes and our target only includes working days (Mon-Fri).
If you have a tape that needs to be done by a deadline, as a rush job, give us a call. An extra charge may be incurred.

With the option to bring your tapes to us directly in store being the most secure option, it's not always possible if you don't live local to our premises.
This is why we make every effort to ensure that your tapes do not go missing by ensuring that your order is tracked when we send it back to you. We do not mark your order as complete until we know you have received it.

There is no need to make a payment upfront. You can place your order and simply select the Pay on Completion option.
Our secure payments are taken by SumUp & PayPal. You may also pay via cash (in store only), or Bank Transfer.

Our live chat service is usually open Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm , excluding bank holidays (Times may vary throughout the year depending on seasonal / holidays).
We can place on order on your behalf, check the status of an order, and answer any questions you may have. During out of hours, you can leave a message and your email address and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

In the unlikely event that your disk is damaged or corrupted, we will issue a free replacement providing that you contact us within 30 days.
Please Note: We will not accept replacements for scratched or destroyed disks. We store all of your footage on our hard drives for 30 days after you collect or receive your DVDs.

Due to the age of the tapes that you bring in to be transferred to DVD or digitalised, there is no surprise that your tapes may be damaged.
Theres a number of reasons why your tape may snap, especially if its an older tape thats been subject to damp or become brittle, but we can splice it back together at no additional cost.

While order updates can sometimes be limited, we will let you know when we receive your tapes, if there are any issues, and when your order is ready for collection or to be sent back to you.
We send these updates via Email and a Text Message Service. Generic updates can be found on the Order Updates page.
We have learned over the years that sometimes you just want to speak to someone face to face. We have now introduced this feature for this very reason.
A lot of our customers who visit us need to be able to show us their tapes or explain something specific which is difficult to explain in writing. This option now opens this up to you over the internet. Simply request your video call on the 'I Need Help' Tab
Transferring your home videos through our Digital Download option is the next step in the digital age, giving your memories a fresh, accessible format while offering an even more affordable way to keep them safe.
Simply place your order, send us your tapes, and we’ll notify you as soon as your videos are ready to download.
Your secure download links can be shared with friends and family and remain active for 30 days, giving you plenty of time to save your files to your computer, phone, or tablet before they expire.
In today’s world of HD and 4K recording, it’s easy to forget how far technology has come. Modern cameras capture footage on SD cards, making it simple to film and transfer videos to a computer within minutes.
Older formats such as VHS, VHS‑C, Hi8, and Mini DV were remarkable for their time, but they record in standard definition (SD). Unlike digital files, these tapes must be played back in real time to transfer their contents, a careful process that preserves what’s there rather than enhancing it.
Tapes naturally age over time. After about 15 years, even well‑stored tapes begin to lose magnetic strength, which can lead to faint image noise or occasional dropouts. Exposure to sunlight, dust, or damp conditions can accelerate this, sometimes making tapes sticky or brittle.
It’s also worth remembering that your videos may look softer on today’s HD and 4K screens. Older footage was designed for 4:3 or early 16:9 televisions, which had lower resolution. When displayed on modern screens, the image is effectively enlarged, similar to zooming in on a low‑resolution photo.
In short, we transfer your tapes exactly as they play today, preserving every detail that remains. While the quality reflects the original recording, the memories themselves remain priceless and digitising them ensures they’ll be enjoyed for generations to come.

We now offer 3 fantastic packages to simplify our pricing structure. If you have any queries, please feel free to GET IN TOUCH and we will be happy to help you. Please note that we do not offer refunds as our products are a digital product and service based. Please view our REFUND POLICY for more info.
We specialise in transferring privately‑recorded home videos to DVD, USB, or Digital Download. Please ensure that any tapes you send contain personal recordings only. Footage that is commercially produced or protected by copyright cannot be transferred, and the order will still be chargeable.
If any material submitted contains evidence of criminal activity, we are legally required to report it to the police. In such cases, the tapes will not be returned, and the order will remain chargeable.
When we transfer your tapes, we always aim for the best quality. There are many cases where the best quality is not possible, usually due to the age of the tape along with any damage that may have occurred such as being left in direct sunlight, or damp conditions.
With tapes in such condition, we will process the tape for a second time in another player to ensure there is no technical fault. We will still transfer what we can which will save your memories from deteriorating further.
Depending on how damaged the tape is, it may be be able to be transfered. We can attempt to recase your tape, splice your tape, and clean the tape, however this does not always guarantee to be a sucsess. Your tape may be too brittle to be worked on and in some cases if it has been infested with damp and mould, we may only be able to obtain audio and not picture. You will still be charged for the service if we can not transfer your tape.
Yes, you will receive your video tape as well as your disks and/or USB stick unless you request otherwise.
You may just turn up during office hours on weekdays, no appointment necessary.
When we come across a tape that can not be transferred either due to being damaged too bad or due to no content being found (usually a blank tape or a damaged, brittle tape), we will make a note of it on our system and then contact you to let you know that it can not be done. We will then recalculate the cost on the order and deduct any unprocessed tapes.
If we have processed a tape that is entirely full of copyrighted footage such as TV programmes / films, then you will still be charged as we will not stop processing the tape as home footage is often found at the end of tapes as well as the beginning.
Legal Notice: We can only transfer home videos to DVD, USB or Digital Downloads. Any videos sent to us which contain copyrighted footage will not be transferred and you will still be charged. Any order of home videos to DVD or other formats that contains criminal activity will be passed onto the police and not returned. You will still also be charged.
